Wear OS Getting New Keep And Spotify Tiles, Google Wallet Transit Cards

  • Spotify is getting three new Tiles. The one for podcasts will show new episodes from subscriptions, while another provides quick access to playlists and other works that are in your “heavy rotation.”
  • Google Keep is getting a single-note Tile that also lets you pin a list to the left or right of your watch face.
  • Lastly, Google Wallet for Wear OS is adding support for transit cards.

Motorola's New Razr Foldables Are Already On Sale In China

  • The Razr 40 Ultra is the flagship of the two, with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 3.6-inch 144Hz outer display and a much larger internal display.
  • Meanwhile, the Razr 40 has Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, a 6.9-inch inner display, 64MP camera, and a much smaller outer display at 1.47 inches.

Google Wallet Supports Adding Any Barcode Or QR Code Manually, New Driver's Licenses

  • Rolling out soon, Google Wallet will be able to carry even more of what your traditional wallet might.
  • That starts with expanded support for US driver’s licenses in Google Wallet, which adds support for Maryland today, and will come to Arizona, Colorado, and Georgia “in the coming months.”
  • Google adds that, in the future, these digital IDs will be able to be used in some online applications.

Google Pixel 8 Won't Include Qi2 Wireless Charging Upgrade

  • Months ahead of its expected release date, the Google “Pixel 8” has been officially certified for Qi wireless charging, confirming no speed improvement over last year.
  • For a device to promote that it’s compatible with Qi charging, it first needs to get approval from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC).

Google Assistant’s 3rd-Party Notes & Lists Integration Is Shutting Down

  • In Google Assistant settings, you’ve long had the ability to set a Notes & Lists provider for voice commands that let you create or edit a list/note on speakers and Smart Displays.
  • The options are Google Keep, Any.do, AnyList, and Bring Shopping Lists. 
  • That integration is now going away.
  • Specifically, “it will no longer be possible to use Google Assistant to add items to AnyList.”

  • Opening podcasts.google.com today reveals a navigation drawer that has overlapped with the main column of content.
  • Besides being visually jarring and preventing you from easily reading the feed of recommendations (tap the hamburger button), links to various Google Podcasts sections — Explore, Subscriptions, Queue, and Settings — are broken and no longer clickable.
  • They remain inaccessible when you adjust the width of the page.
