The cable company Altice USA is said to be weighing a potential sale of Cheddar News, the network once billed as “CNBC for millennials,” less than five years after buying the company.
Altice USA has hired Goldman Sachs to help explore strategic alternatives for Cheddar News.
They cautioned that Altice was still weighing its options and could decide against a sale.
Representatives for Altice USA and Goldman declined to comment.
The original 1987 animated series “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is coming to Nickelodeon.
Ahead of the theatrical release of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,” Nickelodeon has acquired global rights to the storied Fred Wolf series, which follows the adventures of the heroes in a half-shell — Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo.
India has told Netflix, Disney and other streaming services that their content should be independently reviewed for obscenity and violence before being shown online, according to a government document and sources.
The proposal was delivered to the streaming platforms at a June 20 meeting at the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
The streaming companies, also referred to as OTT platforms, objected and no decision was reached, according to government minutes of the talks and an industry source who attended.
